Job Description




As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol in NASHVILLE, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and great customer service. You will partner with site contacts and your Allied Universal team to support smooth daily operations, bringing agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access control concerns.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, monitoring delivery activity, and documenting irregularities per post orders.
  • Complete routine reports and shift logs, communicate observations to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership, and support special events and peak-traffic periods as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years of security experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
