Job Description




As a Security Officer - Night Patrol Driver in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols and high-visibility presence, respond to service calls, and document security-related activity while providing standout customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, with patrols completed primarily by vehicle. You will communicate clearly with residents and the team, supporting a caring, integrity-driven culture built on teamwork.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, community rules, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community and perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity, open gates, and property concerns, and reporting findings per post orders.
  • Monitor access points and parking areas, assist with visitor directions and information, and help to deter unauthorized access by observing and reporting suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance as needed and contacting the appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, and communicate updates to Allied Universal management and/or site representatives as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • This site has limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
