Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy food and beverage retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist team members and shoppers with courteous customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, team members, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location, receiving areas, stock rooms, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
• Monitor access points and delivery activity, verifying credentials and/or delivery information as required by site policy, and reporting irregularities to site leadership.
• Complete routine reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate noteworthy activity to the appropriate contacts and/or responding authorities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience - preferred.
• Guard Card/License - preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
