The University of Arizona Specialized IT Service team supporting Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking an IT Business Analyst to support and enhance the technology systems that empower our student-athletes, coaches, and administrative staff. Working closely with Athletics stakeholders and central IT partners, the IT Business Analyst will assist in gathering and documenting requirements, analyzing workflows, and supporting the implementation and improvement of systems that span areas such as recruiting, compliance, academic support, facilities, ticketing, and student-athlete services. functional collaboration in a high visibility, deadline driven setting. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Collaborate with Athletics administrators, coaches, and staff to gather information, identify opportunities, document, and analyze business requirements related to technology systems, processes, and applications.
- Serve as a liaison between Athletics stakeholders and Enterprise IT teams to ensure operational needs are clearly understood, communicated, and supported.
- Assist in analyzing existing Athletics workflows and business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design, recommend, and support technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
- Develop and maintain documentation including business requirements, process flows, and end user guidelines.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication between stakeholders and technical teams regarding project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Participate in system testing and quality assurance activities to ensure solutions meet defined requirements and quality standards.
- Support system implementations and updates by coordinating user training and providing enduser support during and after deployments.
- Crosstrain with other Athletics IT staff to develop familiarity with multiple systems, processes, and support functions.
- Provide backup support to ensure continuity of Athletics IT operations during staff absences, peak periods, or critical events.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of workflows and business processes.
- Ability to develop and maintain documentation.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments across the university.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- 1 year of relevant work experience is required.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
