Responsibilities:
In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for multiple high-level projects. You are diligent in following up on key accounts while prioritizing business goals. This role presents the opportunity to work at the forefront of advances in oncology. You will:
  • Support execution of broad communications strategy for high-profile pharmaceutical client in the oncology space.
  • Help maintain day-to-day cross-functional project management ensuring timely delivery of flawless materials and counsel to support (but not be limited to) disease awareness (unbranded), data milestones, branded communications, media relations, social media, spokesperson management (celebrity, influencer, HCP and patient engagement) and PR events.
  • Write communications materials such as media strategies, influencer/spokespeople concepts/scripts/social posts/guidelines, press releases, backgrounders, key messages, internal communications/leadership pieces.
  • Review and oversee development of timelines, calendars, action plans, runs of show, agendas, call notes, media monitoring and resulting reporting, and support budget management and monthly billing processes.
  • Maintain day-to-day contact and share project updates with clients via email and on weekly calls; proactively offer and successfully implement new ideas and solutions to meet client needs and drive projects forward.
  • Regularly engage and collaborate with agency partners - including talent brokers, patients, partner agencies and creative/production experts.
  • Proactively manage junior team members and manage up to senior team members.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry and a bachelor's degree in public relations/communications, science or a related applicable field.
  • Client relations expertise and familiarity with branded and unbranded pharmaceutical communications, ideally including celebrity or influencer partnerships in the pharmaceutical space and/or experience in supporting data milestone comms.
  • Strong writing and oral communications skills, including experience in client communications.
  • Strong project management skills, including team delegation, timeline and budget tracking, quality control and logistics planning, attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a fast-paced (but fun) environment, meeting internal and external deadlines.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for healthcare/life sciences.
  • Must be a collaborative, self-starter with a strong work ethic, energized by being a member of a highly entrepreneurial work environment that rewards and fosters personal initiative, accountability and teamwork.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $100K to $115K. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
