Perform building maintenance for the facility and grounds. Provide support and assistance on lab equipment maintenance. Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems. Ensures utilities and facility systems are operating and appropriate PM is conducted. Follow all company policies and procedures on quality and Environmental Health and Safety.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Diagnose and repair a wide variety of facility and lab equipment. Perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical maintenance. Responsible for maintenance and operation of the utilities and facility systems such as the boiler, air compressor, and cooling tower, performing appropriate PMs.
  • Layout and install a variety of machinery and related services requiring mechanical, electrical, millwright, plumbing, pipe fitting, and welding.
  • Work with, guide, direct, and assist outside contractors for a variety of facility and equipment maintenance and new installations.
  • Stocks necessary maintenance supplies ensuring appropriate levels are maintained. Properly fill out job cards and other documents as requested.
  • Provides support and assistance for facility cleaning maintenance
  • Performs incidental work such as snow removal, lawn mowing, grounds maintenance, and minor maintenance of the engineering building as directed. Assists in loading or unloading deliveries to the building. May perform pick up and deliveries.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures such as the quality management system, KPIS, Lean and Environmental Health and Safety.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High school graduate with 5 years related experience.
  • Must have thorough working knowledge of mechanical , millwright, electrical, plumbing, pipe fitting, machine repairs, welding and torch cutting. Operates variety of machine and hand tools.
  • Must have valid Ohio Drivers License and be licensed to operate lift trucks and other man lifts.
  • Requires frequent to continuous physical effort, working with light to heavy materials.


  • Requires continuous mental and visual attention to perform duties in a safe manner.
  • Be able to climb ladders.
  • Be able to work in inclement weather.
  • Proficient use of computers.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
