We are seeking a skilled Supervisor, Food Services to play a key role in supporting Food Service Managers and ensuring excellent service and quality standards. Responsibilities:
As a Supervisor, Food Services, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring highquality food service operations while supporting staff, enhancing service delivery, and maintaining exceptional safety and compliance standards. This role requires a handson leader who can guide daily operations, support team development, and serve as a resource and role model for Food and Nutrition Services.
Perform duties of Food and Nutrition Services as needed. Act as a role model for all aspects of Food and Nutrition, serving as a reliable training source for staff. Provide leadership and guidance for Food and Nutrition Associates. Help Food and Nutrition Associates establish priorities and manage workloads effectively. Monitor the quality and service of work performed in the assigned area. Instruct, crosstrain, motivate, coach, and guide Food and Nutrition Associates to support strong team performance. Resolve issues that arise during daily operations to maintain smooth service delivery. Ensure that all areas supported by Food and Nutrition are receiving the service they need (e.g., patient meal delivery, catering functions, cafeteria operations). Attend department meetings and contribute to team communication and planning. Know, understand, and adhere to all department and organizational policies and procedures. Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with standards for Infection Control, EFPA, OSHA, JCAHO, and Health Department Administrative Code. Respond to Code Red and participate in Code Red drills as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum two years experience in Food Service related field with the aptitude to be cross-trained in several disciplines. One year previous supervisory experiences preferred. Trade or vocational school in any of the following fields preferred: Business, Nutrition or Dietetics, or Culinary field. Good analytical skills, problem solving skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills. Computer skills are necessary for many job duties.
