NEXT Electric, LLC seeking full-time Safety Coordinator in Madison, Wisconsin.

Job Summary



  • Works under direct supervision of Division Safety Manager
  • Assists in New Employee Safety Orientation training
  • Inspects & audits projects/jobsites for compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and programs
  • Conducts employee training on company safety policies, procedures, and programs
  • Periodically participates in weekly safety toolbox meetings on projects/jobsites
  • Assists Division Safety Manager in investigating incidents/near-misses and prevention recommendations
  • Participates in safety inspection process; assists management to ensure all violations are corrected immediately
  • Builds effective relationships with customers, general contractors, and other subcontractors that meet/exceed expectations in support of company core values
  • Completes other duties as directed by Division Safety Manager
  • Travel may be required.


Qualifications



  • 5 years construction safety experience required; 2-5 yrs. electrical construction experience preferred
  • Knowledge of OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations and electrical construction industry practices
  • Must possess/maintain OSHA-30 Certification and 1st Aid/CPR Certification or have ability to obtain within time period as directed by the company; and other Certifications as required by project/customer including HAZWOPER Certification
  • Valid motor vehicle license with ability to travel to jobsites within Wisconsin
  • Ability to read/interpret all safety regulations and apply them to company policies and practices
  • Ability to work/lead in an ethical and safe manner, to solve problems and adjust priorities , and support company values
  • Proficient communication and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel) skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management and field employees
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and MVR check, and drug-test as may be required per federal or client contract, or DOT policy.
