Job Summary

Responsible for sending incoming appraisal reports to designated reviewer, based on noted review parameters. Once review is accepted by the reviewer, responsible for completing the assignment/request within appraisal management system and procuring payment of vendor invoices. Research and resolve any noted problems with vendor invoices. Also handles any comments from lending staff or vendors regarding invoices. Backs up the Senior Operations Valuation Services Administrator when necessary. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Valuation Services in verifying and processing vendor invoices, accounting and collection of fees for assignments. Experience with AvidAscend and/or Mass Exchange a plus.
  • Oversee files on all Approved Appraisers including licenses, E&O, Qualifications and sample work.
  • Support the Youconnect work flow by managing orders, bidding, engagement, reviews, evaluations and appraisals as needed.
  • Monitor and update appraisal orders and evaluation orders including reviews and disputes to ensure timely delivery of appraisals, evaluations and reviews to each department.
  • Provide assistance with training for all bank personnel that are involved in the valuation process as it pertains to Youconnect (valuation services job management system) and real estate valuation techniques and risk management.
  • General administrative and secretarial support for the department to include typing, correspondence, communication with internal customers, answering questions, resolving problems as they arise from internal and external sources.
  • Continually seek methods to improve efficiency and accuracy of departmental functions, reports and procedures.
  • Assist others in the Valuation Services Department with tasks as they arise.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Requires the ability to manage workflows, track deadlines, coordinate with internal teams and vendors, and handle documentation and quality control
  • Must be self- motivated and able to operate independently in the absence of other departmental personnel
  • Must be able to type with speed, accuracy and minimal errors
  • Should have experience in customer service, vendor management, or client-facing roles
  • Must have effective communication skills, verbal and written
  • Requires some knowledge of USPAP, FIRREA, and the Interagency Guidelines
  • Requires some knowledge of collateral valuation techniques commonly used to value real estate
  • Strong PC skills in Word and Excel.
  • Must have experience working with Excel or reporting tools, tracking metrics, maintaining databases, and reviewing documents for accuracy
  • Must be able to effectively deal with a variety of people at all levels.

Industry and Work Experience

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking or financial services. Such as commercial lending, credit administration, collateral management, or loan operations.

Academic

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent education and related training or experience required.
