Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Post in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with team members using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical facility disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and interior corridors, assist with visitor direction and controlled entry processes, and observe for unauthorized access to patient care areas.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate security-related information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and support investigations by preserving observations and available details.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
