Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support staff and visitors with calm customer service, and communicate clearly with your team. This armed post values integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties and maintain readiness in accordance with Allied Universal and site post orders, using professional communication and de-escalation techniques when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical area disruptions, and reports of suspicious activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and shift logs, support security-related investigations as directed, and coordinate with site leadership and local law enforcement when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
