The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a NeuroOphthalmologist. The rank of appointment (Assistant/Associate) is open and will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicant. Primary focus will be outpatient and/or inpatient clinical practice with teaching opportunities relating to residents, fellows, medical students and may include opportunities in research efforts. Essential Functions Provide expert clinical care in neuro-ophthalmology. Document findings, plan, and actions taken according to departmental guidelines and standards. Maintain a working knowledge of relevant medical/legal issues that impact on patient care. Maintain records and statistics in accordance with department policies. Attend and participate in staff, committee, department, and other administrative meetings. Participate in departmental collaboration, supporting strategic initiatives, program development, and multidisciplinary care coordination within the academic medical center. Participate in department's continuous quality improvement efforts. Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical or translational research. Provide education to other health care professionals. Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students, contributing to the academic mission through formal instruction and clinical supervision. Other related duties as assigned Minimum Requirements Active or eligible for a State of Ohio Medical License Completion of residency training in Neurology or Ophthalmology Completion of 12-month neuro-ophthalmology fellowship training program Physical Requirements/Work Environment Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
