THE HIGH LEVEL

The Program Manager oversees a set of related projects, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals. They coordinate project managers and cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive program outcomes, manage dependencies, and optimize resource allocation. (Portfolio or projects/customers or staff augmentation support)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING



  • Review Government and Non- Government contracts to understand project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with customer business goals and outcomes.
  • Responsible for understanding contract types such as:


    • Firm Fixed Price (FFP)
    • Time and Materials (T&M)
    • Firm Fixed Price/Level of Effort


  • Understanding of CLIN structures within a Government Contract
  • Strong Understanding of Government FAR Clauses
  • Knowledge of Roles and Responsibilities of Government Contracting Resources
  • Able to write effectively for project team members and management to include overall project tasks assignments and status reports.
  • Lead strategic and high-complexity projects with significant organizational impact, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals.
  • Oversee all phases of the project/program lifecycle, from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring compliance with corporate governance and standards.
  • Ability to manage financial budgets to determine overall burn rate of work performed versus cost incurred.
  • Forecast program financials on a monthly -basis and articulate project performance based on the program's triple constraint (Scope, schedule, budget).
  • Oversee the coordination and management of multiple related projects (a program) and/ or "program" staff augmentation resources, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Develop a clear program roadmap, outlining timelines, dependencies, and resource requirements across all underlying projects.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to project managers within the program, ensuring standardization and consistent execution practices.
  • Align program goals with executive leadership and business units, translating strategy into actionable workstreams.
  • Monitor the overall health of the program through performance tracking, benefit realization, budget control, and resource utilization.
  • Serve as the escalation point for project-level risks and issues, driving resolution across cross-functional stakeholders and ensuring minimal impact to program delivery.
  • Foster collaboration between functional areas, subcontractors, to align priorities and timelines.
  • Report on program progress and outcomes to senior leadership, including updates on budget utilization, deliverables, and strategic benefits.
  • Conduct regular Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and risk assessments, adjusting the program plan as necessary to maintain alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Lead change management efforts associated with the program, preparing teams and stakeholders for operational or structural impacts


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE



  • PMI or PMP Certification
  • How many years in people management? 3-5 years
  • Ability to manage multiple projects from initiation through execution
  • Ability to interpret and understand contracts, government and non
  • Ability to understand and manage contract financials and budgets
  • Ability to manage timelines, prioritize requirements, meet customer deadlines
  • Microsoft project skills
  • Microsoft excel skills
