Job Overview

The Specialist, Cobrand Program Marketing helps shape and grow the Macy's American Express Card program through strong cross-functional collaboration and strategic partnerships. This role drives loyalty and credit growth by developing and executing data-driven initiatives across the cardholder lifecycle, including acquisition, engagement, and retention. The Specialist builds partnerships, manages collaborative strategies, oversees creative innovation, and leads test-and-learn opportunities to enhance the program's impact, relevance, and value to customers.

What You Will Do



  • Lead key cobrand direct mail and digital campaigns that strengthen loyalty and deepen cardholder relationships.
  • Develop and launch innovative pilot programs that uncover new growth opportunities and optimize performance and customer experience.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to ensure brand consistency, clear messaging, legal compliance, and effective customer communication.
  • Serve as the primary connector across internal teams, external partners including Citi and American Express, and production vendors to align objectives and accelerate execution.
  • Identify and execute creative initiatives, including experiential activations, that enhance customer value and support broader business objectives.
  • Synthesize data and analytics into clear, compelling narratives that inform strategy, guide decision-making, and measure performance.
  • Bring fresh ideas and stay informed on industry trends and best practices to ensure the Cobrand card program remains competitive and best-in-class.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.


Skills You Will Need

Cobrand & Loyalty Marketing Expertise: Solid background in credit card and/or loyalty marketing, with a strong understanding of lifecycle strategies across acquisition, engagement, and retention.

Campaign Strategy & Execution: Ability to develop and execute integrated direct mail and digital marketing campaigns that drive loyalty, credit growth, and measurable performance outcomes.

Data Analysis & Business Case Development: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data, develop business cases, and translate insights into clear, actionable strategies.

Test-and-Learn & Innovation Mindset: Experience designing and launching pilot programs, evaluating results, and scaling successful initiatives to optimize customer experience and program performance.

Cross-Functional & External Partnership Management: Proven ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, including financial institutions and vendors, to align objectives and accelerate execution.

Strategic Communication & Executive Presence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives, present to senior leadership, and seamlessly shift between executive presentations and team collaboration.

Creative & Customer-Centric Thinking: Strong marketing acumen across digital and physical channels, with the ability to develop innovative, customer-focused initiatives that enhance brand value.

Project Management & Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to support analysis, reporting, and presentations.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 5-plus years of experience.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
