POSITION SUMMARY
Our Technology team is looking for an ambitious leader to advance our Network Operations and Cybersecurity efforts. This position will report to the Chief Information & Technology Officer and will lead transformational infrastructure and operational technology initiatives in addition to owning the advancement of our Cybersecurity program.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
HOW YOU WILL BE CHALLENGED You will lead a team of internal and external engineering professionals focused on delivering reliable, secure, scalable, and efficient infrastructure services utilizing a cloud first approach. Responsibilities will include: Cloud & Infrastructure Leadership
Oversee cloud and enterprise infrastructure governance, ensuring scalability, cost-efficiency, and security.
- Partner with IT Operations on platform resiliency, system architecture, and service delivery.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of current cloud architectures, platforms, and solutions and how they support business deliverables, along with the ability to diagnose, triage, and lead teams during critical incidents and outages to ensure rapid restoration of service.
Network Infrastructure & Connectivity
- Serve as a subject matter expert in network architecture, including Zero Trust solutions and network microsegmentation strategies, with a focus on internal network segmentation and security hardening.
- Oversee enterprise and property-level network architecture, including structured cabling, fiber backbone, and dedicated internet access (DIAs).
- Manage deployment and governance of Cisco Meraki solutions (SD-WAN, switches, wireless, and security appliances).
- Ensure secure, resilient connectivity for corporate offices and property assets.
Cybersecurity Leadership
- Execute the enterprise cybersecurity strategy and align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and frameworks
- Lead security operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and awareness training.
- Oversee governance, risk, and compliance programs, including third-party/vendor risk management.
IT/OT Convergence & Building Technologies
- Partner with the Tenant Services Center, Parking Services Center, and Property Engineering teams to deliver essential infrastructure and network connectivity that supports property operations.
- Provide connectivity and resiliency for building management systems (BMS), cameras, access control, IoT, and other property technologies.
- Establish governance for vendors supporting physical security and smart building technology.
- Provide guidance and support for our Managed Wi-Fi offering in and work in tandem with our Residential Operations and Asset Management teams.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the executive point of contact for key technology partners for security and technology vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, manage renewals, and ensure cost-effective vendor strategy.
- Provide regular updates to the CIO, executive team, and Board on risk posture and program progress.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS)
- 10-15+ years of progressive leadership experience in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading enterprise security and infrastructure programs within complex organizations.
- Expertise in applying and adhering to frameworks and standards such as NIST and SOX ITGCs
- Experience securing building technologies (BMS, cameras, access control, IoT) within real estate/OT environments.
- Experience working with enterprise-grade Network Access Control (NAC) solutions such as Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) or equivalent platforms.
- Possess a strong understanding of advanced routing protocols, including BGP, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) design and management.
- Have a working knowledge of SIEM platforms (Splunk, Crowdstrike)
- Must have the ability to effectively delegate and source work through direct reports and strategic vendors. Managing upward and across teams will also be critical to succeed.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize, and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical resources. Must be able to influence and win the confidence of individuals at all levels, both inside and outside the organization.
- Must have ability to prioritize, communicate and organize multiple projects of varying complexity, frequently under deadline pressure.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or CCNP are strongly preferred.
OR Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered. The compensation range for this position is $190,000 to $210,000 annually. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus performance and equity awards. Please note that the compensation range information provided is a general guideline. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors.
