Associate/Full Professor (Hance Chair) - Rawls College of Business 43824BR Area of Management Position Description The Area of Management in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University (TTU) invites applications for The Hance Chair in Management, a full time, 9-month tenured/tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor to begin in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027. Candidates with a strong research background in entrepreneurship, leadership, management, organizational behavior, strategy, or closely related fields will be considered. Salary and benefits are highly competitive and include financial support for data acquisition and domestic and international conference travel. Additional funding may be available for summer research support. About the College The Rawls College of Business is AACSB accredited, and offers BBA degrees with majors in accounting, energy commerce, finance, information technology, management, marketing, and supply chain management. Several MBA programs are offered. First, a Professional MBA hybrid program is offered for students who wish to remain employed full-time; classes are offered one weekend per month in four locations across Texas: Lubbock, Dallas, Houston, and Austin/San Antonio, as well as an online MBA. A third MBA program is specifically designed for students with undergraduate degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Finally, the College offers a number of Dual Degree MBA programs. We also offer MS degrees in human resources, accounting, data science, finance, and marketing research & analytics. A Ph.D. in business administration is offered with tracks in accounting, finance, management, management information systems, and marketing. We have approximately 70 tenure track faculty and 60 non-tenure-track faculty. The College has more than 5,500 undergraduate students and more than 1000 graduate students. About the Department/School/Area The Area of Management has 25 faculty members and 12 doctoral students, who publish research in top journals in the field and are award-winning subject-matter experts related to our four undergraduate certificates in entrepreneurship, family business, leadership, and human resources. The Area also launched a successful Masters Degree in Human Resource Management in the Fall of 2024. The Area takes pride in teaching excellence, and faculty members have been awarded various teaching awards, including a university-wide departmental teaching excellence award.
