Our College:
Leading at the intersection of people, business, and technology, the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business is one of the most comprehensive business schools in the nation and includes many areas of expertise not found in any other leading institution. The college is comprised of the university's three accredited business schools, each of which is recognized as among the best in higher education: the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, and the School of Hotel Administration. Our academic research; industry and community engagement; and undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree programs all reflect the future of business: flexible, collaborative, and cross-disciplinary. The college community includes 244 research faculty, 44,000 alumni, and nearly 3,300 undergraduate, professional, and graduate students. The SC Johnson College of Business has an unparalleled resource base from which to draw-within the college, Cornell Tech in New York City, and Cornell University broadly. The Master of Science in Business Analytics is a 10-month full-time program that provides students the opportunity to pursue an Ivy League graduate degree by undertaking a rigorous course of study and build a career in business analytics with the skills employers desire most: a comprehensive understanding of the language and concepts of business, strong communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to apply the tools of data science to real problems and real data through program concentrations. The program starts in August. Classes are held in person in New York City and include evening sessions. The Assistant Director of MSBA NYC Program Position: The Assistant Director of MSBA NYC Program plays a key role in supporting program execution, student advising, and cocurricular engagement. This position provides both strategic and handson leadership, collaborating with MSBA colleagues, campus partners, and external stakeholders to deliver an exceptional, inclusive experience for a diverse student population. We are seeking a selfdriven professional with strong judgment, proven experience, and the ambition to excel in a dynamic, highimpact role. The Assistant Director, reporting to the Director of Online Masters & MSBA Programs, oversees the full MSBA student lifecycle by providing holistic academic advising, supporting students with moderately complex personal and institutional concerns, and connecting them with appropriate resources to promote success. This role contributes to key initiatives that advance retention, persistence, and graduation; develops and implements cocurricular programming-including orientations, welcome events, speaker sessions, and student interest groups-to strengthen community and engagement; and participates in assessment efforts and schoolwide committees to enhance policies and student services. The position also supports admissions and corporate relations activities as needed, collaborates closely with partners across Johnson and the broader university such as Admissions, Cornell Health, Global Learning, and Student Disability Services, and regularly uses systems such as Salesforce and Academic Student of Concern forms to ensure accurate documentation and student tracking. Position Details:
While position responsibilities vary, every member of our community is expected to foster a culture of belonging and a psychologically healthy work environment by communicating across differences; being cooperative, collaborative, open, and welcoming; showing respect, compassion, and empathy; engaging and supporting others regardless of background or perspective; speaking up when others are being excluded or treated inappropriately; and supporting work/life integration of oneself and others.
