At HDR Engineering, an industry leading and proud employee-owned company, we are hiring a Transmission Line EIT/Designer. As a member of our nationally renowned Power Delivery team, you will work on diverse high-voltage transmission line projects, ranging from structure replacements to expansive greenfield designs. Primary Duties: The Transmission Line EIT/Designer will work under the direction and supervision of senior engineers, and the primary duties of the role are:
Typically, Transmission Line design encompass structure spotting and design, conductor sag and blowout calculations, clearances checks, foundation design, hardware selection and fit-up, and development of bill of materials. The designs also require coordination and providing input to other disciplines to support environmental permitting, right of way acquisition, public involvement, access roads, and construction requirements.
