As an Accounting Intern, you will have the opportunity to work cross-departmentally with critical business areas like Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, FP&A, Consolidations and External reporting and more. At RXO, our talented leaders will help you learn, grow, and gain valuable experience, setting you on the path to a successful and rewarding career.

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Assist with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, and external audit support
  • Utilize accounting systems such as Oracle ERP and Hyperion Financial Management
  • Engage and communicate effectively with other professionals throughout the organization
  • Participate in team meetings and projects, contributing to initiatives that impact the business and solve real problems
  • Build and maintain professional and collaborative relationships cross-departmentally

What you need to succeed at RXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, and currently pursuing a bachelor's degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Education toward a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
  • Solid organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • High energy work style with a drive to succeed
  • Self-motivated with ability to take direction and work with limited supervision
  • Interact and communicate within a team environment; able to consult with team members and management as needed
