Alliant Insurance is hiring a Senior Procurement Analyst!


SUMMARY

This role is located in the Legal department and will focus on Enterprise tools, contracts, and account relationships through the lens of compliance and governance. It fills a need for ownership and representation on enterprise vendors that have no sole business owner. It provides a proactive approach of looking at enterprise level services and products based on known business needs without needing to initiate the process through a business partner.


This is a fully remote position anywhere in the United States.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the procurement process for spend categories, including operating, capital, and G&A expenses.

Develop sourcing strategies aligned with operational needs and long-term project goals.

Request for proposals, evaluate bids, and discuss options with the team.

Establish, develop, and manage supplier relationships and expectations.

Develop and execute a category strategy for software procurement in collaboration with key stakeholders and IT leadership.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly.

Support sourcing initiatives, including RFIs/RFPs, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.

Maintain vendor relationships, manage contract renewals, and monitor supplier performance where applicable.

Work closely with Legal, Finance, and IT teams to ensure contract compliance and risk mitigation.

Conduct market and supplier research to stay current on trends and benchmark pricing.

Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across the procurement organization.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Business; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Five (5) or more years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, preferably in the software category or technology domain

SKILLS

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite / Google Workspace; experience with procurement tools (e.g., Coupa, Netsuite) is a plus

Familiarity with software licensing models, SaaS agreements, and vendor risk assessments

Familiar with indirect procurement within a mid-to-large sized enterprise

Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills

Skilled at relationship building

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Able to be tactical while pushing for strategic improvements
