7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Job Objective: Safely perform troubleshooting, diagnostic analysis, repair, and routine maintenance of production equipment following established Standard Operating Procedures. Provide technical expertise and leadership implementing all mechanical and improvement initiatives for weaving machines including the normal operation, installation, troubleshooting, modification, re-design, maintenance, training and mentoring of loom mechanics; Maintain and/or coordinate the work on updating product and process documentation for standardization of all weave room processes.

  • Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and contributes to the investigation process.
  • Active participation in safety-related programs and initiatives is required as necessary. This includes involvement in the safety committee on a rotating schedule, as well as participation in Risk Assessments, Exposure Hunts, department inspections, and change management activities.
  • Ensure the set-up for all filaments and mono-filament yarn preparation equipment's based on control plan, style cards and set-up sheets.
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostic analysis, repair and overhauls of all weaving, yarn prep equipment, knot Tying equipment and processes.
  • Maintain consistent set-up and operation of all processes to maintain compliance with quality, safety, and productivity standards.
  • Design detail any new and improve upon existing machine set-up in the weaving and yarn preparation.
  • Create and/or edit the style sheets per design specifications
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the training activities, system improvements, equipment improvements and analysis on all weaving processes
  • Performs audits and maintain detailed records on findings.
  • Create and maintain loom preventive maintenance, oiling/greasing schedule and direct it as established
  • Provide technical input on new machine part design and direct its fabrication as needed.
  • Coordinate the trials for all the weave room processes directly through set-up, data collection while monitoring and recording standard and non-standard practices in it and direct the material through downstream processes with specific instructions (if no direct coordination possible in downstream).
  • Maintain and/or ensure the accuracy of documentation of corresponding trials
  • Provide creative, effective, and cost-efficient solutions for product, process and equipment improvements
  • Understand and maintain all the aspects of documentation for process set-up, control plan, style sheets
  • Inspect the facility and equipment regularly and notify department supervisor and/ or Plant manager of any incidents or occurrences that impact the value stream
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings and assembly drawings. Work with engineering on fabrication and modifying new parts as necessary
  • Must have the ability to travel between NH company facilities.
  • Ability to work overtime as required or requested, including extended shifts and weekends
  • Full Time Presence required.
  • Coordinate/communicate and/or work on projects from both NH region facilities assuring both sites are following the same processes

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED or 2-year trade school training in engineering/machine repair, and/or Minimum 3 years weaving mechanical experience
  • Skills to create and maintain MSWord, Excel documents, Previous experience with Oracle, Everest.
  • Must have at least five years of experience in general maintenance, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex production machinery,
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical components.
  • Must have the ability to be certified in lockout/tag-out operations.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret dials, gauges, rulers, blueprints, schematics, equipment service manuals, and general instructions.
  • Must provide own tools and toolbox.
  • Must have the ability to work powered industrial equipment
  • Sufficient strength and physical dexterity with good hand-eye coordination is needed to perform the duties of this job.
  • Ability to self-pace learning including book, web-base and classroom participation.
