Overview
Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Systems Engineer in support of Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics' (SOF AT&L) Program Executive Office for Tactical Information Systems (PEO-TIS) Integrated Sensor Systems. PEO-TIS is composed of a team of relentless acquisition professionals who consistently team with government and industry partners to rapidly develop and field state-of-the-art sensors, C2, and specialized communication systems that enable the Nation's SOF Warfighters to win. This is a full-time position located at MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), FL
Responsibilities
Interface with vendors/developers to assess Development Test and Evaluation (DT&E) criteria/plans against System requirements and to ensure alignment with Operation Requirements
- Perform analysis and decomposition of requirements to ensure functional, operational, and performance requirements are achieved and documented throughout the Systems Engineering lifecycle
- Develop/Review Technical Briefings, Test Plans, Test Reports, and other technical documents in support of OT&E and F&DR activities
- Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to develop well-defined Measures of Performance (MOP) for Effectiveness, Suitability, Survivability in support of OT&E
- Support the program office personnel with developing and updating Requirements Traceability Matrices and Evaluation Frameworks
- Oversee, develop, coordinate, and/or manage the Spectrum Management process for the Program Office to ensure compliance with regulations
- Review, learn, master, synchronize, and comply with all USSOCOM policies around OT&E activities
- Assist the program office with developing the Fielding and Deployment Release (F&DR) staffing packages.
- Ability to direct, coordinate, and manage highly complex development projects.
- Knowledge of Operational Test & Evaluation processes and policies in accordance with USSOCOM Directives
Qualifications
Minimum Experience: Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field of study (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or other technical degrees w/ relevant experience) from an accredited college or university Years of Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical discipline, including:
- 5+ years of cumulative experience in a Test Engineer, Test Manager, Systems Engineer, or relevant technical role in support of DoD Acquisition Life Cycle
- 3+ years DoD experience in any of the following areas:
- Military Systems
- Communication Systems
- Sensor Systems
- Knowledge of DoD Operational Test & Evaluation(OT&E) processes, policies, and directives
- Knowledge of Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) practices, principles, and techniques
- Knowledge of Test Engineering principles and Design of Experiments methodology
