Standard Container Program Manager

The Standard Container Program Manager is responsible for all standard packaging for new model launches and mid-cycle actions. This position is also responsible for overseeing container fill and standard container improvements for their respective plants.

The program manager is responsible for:



  • Managing and supporting Tier 1 project management services who work as liaisons between the suppliers and Stellantis on packaging design, development and delivery of standard containers to the supply base
  • Maintaining packaging launch KPIs
  • Validating 198/092 requests for reimbursement of expendable packaging
  • Interacting and engaging with cross-functional teams (Product, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance, Supply Base, Safety, Quality, etc.) to ensure packaging meets the requirements of each functional group
  • Ensuring that the highest densities possible are reached while maintaining part quality in transit
  • Creating new and improved standards and best practices
  • Participating in global teams dedicated to the design and density process
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities related to packaging improvement


KPIs:



  • Baseline packaging plans established on time
  • Supplier packaging plans approved by plant launch team on time
  • Pilot containers delivered on time
  • Production containers delivered on time
  • Packaging is validated on time for the key milestones
  • Annual packaging improvement savings

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering or related field
  • Minimum five years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues as well as manage through all aspects of the daily business, including escalation and communication as required
  • Ability to implement, sustain, and improve new or existing specialized packaging build processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Master's degree in business or engineering or related field
