Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 to 4:00

Headquartered in both Kansas City and Topeka, Evergy employs about 4,900 people who are dedicated to empowering a better future. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Storeroom Attendant position in Topeka, KS.

Storeroom Attendants - "Shall be qualified through knowledge, training and physical ability to issue and receive material, maintain tools, stock and operate equipment in storerooms, warehouses and other storage areas in a neat and orderly condition, drive fork lift and light trucks, and other equipment used in storeroom work, and to assist in taking physical inventories, check out tools and equipment, run errands and perform other miscellaneous duties as required."

TRAINING PROGRAM
This training program requires up to 2,000 hours of productive on-the-job work experience. The trainee will be expected to complete job-skills and related knowledge assignments and examined on both the skills and knowledge required. Under this Training Program the responsibility for completing the study and learning for the entire training course, rests primarily with the trainee. The progress of the trainee will be determined by grades on examinations, completion of on-the-job skills and evaluations. This information will be taken into consideration and used to evaluate the trainee for advancement in classifications and for final acceptance as a fully qualified Storeroom Attendant.

The successful applicant is expected to take call-outs, must live within a thirty-minute drive time of Topeka Operations Center. The successful bidder must be able to read, understand and follow written instructions.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
