Land Survey Intern

Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, we have a limited-term, full-time internship to work on land surveying projects starting in May/June 2026 and ending in August/September 2026. This exciting opportunity will be based at our Fargo, ND office.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with operating GPS, robotic total station, and data controller equipment
• Performing topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and construction staking
• Assisting with drafting services for survey projects
• Other tasks as assigned.

Frequent travel to local project sites, accompanied by one of our crew chief employees, will be required. Overnight travel and weekends may also be required.

Successful candidates must have completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in land surveying, civil engineering technology, civil engineering, GIS, construction management or a related field from an accredited college or university within 6 months of hire date.

The ideal candidate will have any/all the following:

• Experience using survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, and/or auto level)
• Land surveying coursework
• Familiarity with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation software programs
• Construction field experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
