As an
Information Systems Security Officerwith MTSI you will be responsible for advancing the organization's IT infrastructure and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity protocols in today's rapidly evolving threat environment. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies, procedures, and controls to protect sensitive data and systems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction. You will work closely with IT staff, management, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate security risks, respond to security incidents, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This position will be located at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, NV.
Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity Program Management:
- Lead the cybersecurity program using Risk Management Framework (RMF) principles to ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of information systems.
- Manage SAP cybersecurity compliance and implement industry best practices to mitigate risks to mission-critical operations.
- Ensure systems remain compliant with DoD regulations and policies governing network security.
System Security & Optimization:
- Analyze, manage, and maintain secure IT systems across multiple operating environments and classification levels.
- Develop project plans and oversee testing, implementation, and sustainment of IT systems to ensure high performance and minimal disruptions.
- Assess system vulnerabilities, oversee proactive measures to strengthen security postures, and troubleshoot issues impacting operations.
Technical Implementations:
- Oversee the acquisition, installation, testing, and integration of new operating systems and software across unclassified, classified, and SAP networks.
- Evaluate emerging engineering technologies and deliver expert recommendations to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.
- Use performance data to drive decision-making and optimize IT resources for improved mission support.
Leadership & Advisory Role:
- Serve as the organization's cybersecurity and IT specialist, advising on policy, procedures, and system adoption strategies.
- Represent the organization in technical discussions with senior leadership and stakeholders across DoD entities.
- Deliver strategic briefings and presentations on long-range IT planning, risk mitigation, and adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
Qualifications Required:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience, or Associate's degree with at least 14 years of relevant experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Certifications: Security+, CISSP, CISSM
Technical Expertise:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), system security principles, and SAP information system requirements.
- Proven experience securing, managing, and optimizing complex IT systems across classified environments.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills to address challenges in operating systems, software integrations, and cybersecurity compliance.
Professional Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify security vulnerabilities and optimize system performance.
- Exceptional skills in communicating technical concepts to senior leadership and crafting strategic IT solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently in a dynamic operating environment.
Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility is required to support mission-critical operations.
Travel:
As needed basis for training, no more than once per quarter, CONUS Only
