About the Role

We are looking for an IT Mobile Developer to join our small development team. In this role, you will develop and deliver mobile applications and solutions used by the Gore Medical. The primary application will be a globally deployed iOS application and should be designed to create a responsive and secure user experience for sales associates in the field. This application and project are green field, and this role will have a major impact on success. This role will include scaffolding, coding and designing applications per industry best practices.

This is a remote position, and you can work from home in most locations within the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain mobile applications in a global context: design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable React Native code for iOS applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: work closely with solution architects, product managers, designers, and other developers to define, design, and ship new features; mentor junior developers
  • Ensure performance and quality: optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, and ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
  • Debug and fix issues: identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to improve application performance
  • Implement UI/UX designs: translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code, ensuring a seamless user experience
  • Stay updated with industry trends: keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends in mobile technologies and frameworks
  • Write automated tests: develop and maintain automated tests to ensure the robustness of the application
  • Code reviews and documentation: participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and write clear, maintainable documentation for the codebase
  • Integrate third-party services: integrate third-party APIs and services into the application as needed
  • Continuous improvement: continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
  • Minimum 6 years' developing line of business applications with React Native and 4 years' experience developing mobile iOS applications
  • Highly proficient in JavaScript,React Native and NodeJS. React Native version 0.77 and above; knowledge of Swift/Objective C
  • Experience with OIDC OAuth 2.0 authentication with sliding, persistent session; JWT management and understanding
  • Understanding of state management (e.g. Context)
  • Understanding of iOS, e.g. background tasks, network availability, iOS notifications, etc andApple Push Notifications and websockets experience
  • VSCode and XCode (IPA creation with understanding of environment ".env" configurations)
  • Advanced capabilities using React Hooks and Functional syntax
  • Understanding of Apple certificate management and deploying builds to Apple TestFlight
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience designing dynamic and responsive apps for multiple iOS devices such as iPhonesand iPads
  • React Native Async Storage (async-storage) or an alike framework/package, e.greact-native-mmk. Redux, DataDog SDK are important libraries.
  • Cursory or familiar knowledge of CRM systems, particularly Salesforce,Azure Functions, APIM, BLOB storage and Cosmos DB

This position offers a remote work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore's work arrangement policies.
