ARES Corporation is seeking an experienced Test and Verification (T&V) engineer to support NASA's Human Space Flight Program. This engineering professional is expected to demonstrate a proactive approach in coordinating with management and teammates to ensure T&V activities are meeting NASA goals and objectives. Job Description: The experienced T&V Engineer will:
- Review and identify, document, and resolve issues with technical, programmatic, and operations data, including hardware/software design data, documentation, interfaces, requirements change, models, testing plans and procedures, Generic Ground rules, Requirements and Constraints (GGR&C), Data Item Descriptions/Data Requirement Descriptions (DIDs/DRDs), and other special information requests.
- Participate in International Space Station (ISS) Visiting Vehicle (VV) Integration Milestone reviews and integration forums as lead ISS Program VV integrator and provide feedback to the Vehicle provider on ISS integration issues, risks and concerns.
- Provide integrated ISS Program input to resolve issues.
- Provide support to NASA Transportation Integration Office (TIO) management by reviewing deliverables and conduct review of deliverables within the ISS Program to confirm vehicle design and operational compliance with ISS requirements and to elevate and close out technical issues/concerns.
- This includes review and identification of issues with integrated schedules.
- Analyze, review, and integrate ISS inputs of vehicle provider planning and verification closure documentation to support closure of ISS Program requirements defined in SSP 50808, International Space Station to Commercial Orbital Transportation Services (COTS) Interface Requirements Document.
- Develop, maintain, and provide technical review, and verification of Specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Interface Requirements Documents (IRDs) during ISS Program Milestone Reviews
- Develop, baseline and maintain the Joint Integration Verification and Test Plan (JIVTP), including unique ISS integration and verification process agreements, joint test sheets, Bilateral Data Exchange Agreements List and Schedule (BDEALS) and Bilateral Hardware and Software Exchange Agreements List and Schedule (BHSEALS).
- Manage execution of the VV verification closure process for ISS requirements (SSP 50808, SSP 50833, etc.). Coordinate NASA review of closure products and resolution of identified issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- Support on-site at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX - Excellent communication (written and verbal), integration, coordination and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with management, customers and stakeholders - Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools (including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams), SharePoint
- Knowledge of engineering principles and technical writing
- Ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently
- Provide evidence of increasing responsibility in test and verification activities over at least a ten-year period
Education:
- BS degree in engineering (Aerospace or Mechanical preferred, but not required) - At least 10 (ten) years of experience in Test and Verification (T&V) roles
