Medical Supply Technician

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential need for a Medical Supply Technician at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office

Job Details:

• 40 hrs per week. 8hr shifts to cover Day, Afternoon and Evening/Nights based on the VA business hours
• Schedules are write 2-4 weeks in advance
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing inventory: Pulling, replenishing, monitoring stock levels (including expiration dates and critical supplies), and conducting daily inventory using barcoding.
  • Distribution: Distributing supplies based on requirements and delivering them in a timely and functional condition.
  • Customer interaction: Providing information to customers and addressing any concerns.
  • Preparation and cleaning: Preparing specialty carts and cleaning assigned areas according to aseptic principles.
  • Receiving: Receiving supplies into the medical center.
• Highly organized, self-directed worker able to function in a high-volume environment without distractions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient level of experience with Microsoft Office applications and strong technical aptitude.
