The Role

As the Senior Advisor, Corporate Employee Engagement, you'll be integral to our work in helping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future. This role sits within the Corporate Partnerships team, which seeks to leverage the power of businesses to deliver impact for kids. You will be responsible for developing and driving a strategy to increase employee engagement (EE) with corporate partners to boost awareness of Save the Children's programs, while raising critical undesignated support funds through contributions, workplace giving and campaigns. You will lead the creation, packaging, and promotion of compelling employee engagement offerings to meet the various needs of current and prospective partners. Reporting to the Senior Managing Director, Engagement & Growth, you'll manage a team that supports both employee event operations and workplace giving campaigns, with a goal of raising $11M/year.

What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Lead Corporate Employee Engagement Program Development & Management (60%):



  • Develop and strengthen employee engagement strategy, creating robust offerings across Workplace Giving/Matching Gifts (WPG/MG) and employee events (EE) with a goal of raising $2M/yr for EE and $9M for WPG/MG.
  • Grow overall employee giving opportunities by strengthening the connection between employee engagement activities and workplace giving/matching gift campaigns for current and prospective corporate partners.
  • Establish team goals and KPIs; institute regular reporting process to track progress and improve delivery.
  • Develop and share corporate employee engagement best practices and operations guides that can support partner leads in selling and implementing successful events and WPG campaigns.
  • Coordinate closely with the peer-to-peer fundraising team to advise on and integrate offerings for Corporate Partners; connect regularly with other internal stakeholders across U.S. Programs, Marketing, Finance, and Business & Technology Solutions to improve ways of working and programmatic impact.
  • Serve as SCUS subject matter expert for employee engagement across Save the Children movement, connecting with counterparts across COs and Member Offices.
  • Oversee daily duties of data input, partnership updates and pipeline documents.
  • Train, develop, coach, lead, and supervise staff, clearly communicating organization, division and department priorities, and how their work contributes to our mission and supports Save the Children values.


Lead Corporate Employee Engagement Promotion, Marketing & Sales (20%):



  • Develop compelling corporate and employee-facing marketing materials and template collateral that position Save the Children as an employee engagement partner of choice.
  • Create and deliver a targeted outreach strategy to solicit and secure corporate employee engagement and giving opportunities.
  • Participate in client conversations to promote or sell-in Save the Children's E and WPG opportunities.
  • Remain abreast of and imbed industry best practices from corporate human resources strategy as well as peer nonprofits.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to drive visibility for Save the Children and our Corporate Partnerships. This could include ensuring visibility on social platforms by suggesting content and engaging on social as appropriate, thought leadership opportunities, and leveraging all other channels to drive engagement.


Manage Corporate Employee Engagement Event Implementation (20%):



  • In partnership with their direct report(s) and Sr. Managing Director, optimize employee event pricing structures, event operations, and vendor relationships that can maximize ROI for children.
  • Serve as lead employee engagement advisor for Corporate Team, ensuring that team members have the operational support to plan and deliver events and giving campaigns that meet donor expectations
  • With EE direct report(s), lead and track partner engagements and events through project management tools ensuring all deliverables are met on time
  • Manage a budget that tracks all income and expenses to ensure events are delivered within budget
  • Represent Save the Children onsite at select corporate employee engagement events


Required qualifications for the role



  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 7 years of relevant experience
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and steward strong revenue generating partnerships with significant client-facing experience
  • Demonstrated public speaking and facilitation skills with the ability to inspire and motivate group audiences
  • Proven ability to work in ambiguous, highly matrixed environment, requiring organizational skill and detail orientation
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15%, both internationally & domestically
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills; responsiveness to partner needs; and ability to drive projects through to completion
  • Strong teamwork orientation and ability to manage inter-team conflict


Preferred qualifications for the role



  • Experience working within corporate and/or agency employee engagement, social impact or human resources teams
  • Experience with operations, logistics and fulfillment
  • Self-starter with strong ability to connect the dots and generate new, innovative offerings that continuously raise our game


Compensation

Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:



  • Geo 1 - NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $119,425 - $133,475 base salary
  • Geo 2 - Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $107,525 - $120,175 base salary
  • Geo 3 - Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $96,050 - $107,350 base salary


The salary ranges listed above are for US based candidates. For candidates located outside of the US, salary ranges will be based on the salary scales of the local employer of record. Actual base salary may vary based on, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location (more information on job structure is available here).
