Maintenance Planner
Plymouth, Wisconsin (On-site)

You will be responsible for improving workforce productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of parts and material, tools and equipment, required permits, and specialized documentation. Also responsible for the planning of all non-emergency maintenance work and for maintaining appropriate records and files to permit meaningful analysis and reporting of results.
How You Will Contribute to our Legacy of Excellence:


  • Develop an integrated maintenance work plan for the Technical Services work area Supervisors (including PM, ACM, and non-emergency repair work orders).

  • Receive and review all non-emergency work orders from the requesting departments. Review and screen each work order to see that it has been properly filled out with the required information by the requester of the work.

  • Examine all non-emergency work orders to be done and determine the scope. Identify and obtain materials required on the work order. Consult the requester, Technical Services Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Engineers, or Maintenance Technicians when necessary.

  • Ensure safety needs are given a top priority in work planning.

  • Review and plan preventative maintenance (PM), materials, etc.

  • Evaluate Maintenance Technician feedback, identify changes needed to PM program (based on activity results), and/or changes to equipment design and/or inventory management practices to optimize the overall process.

  • Assist Technical Services in planning the resources needed in the installation of new machinery, relocation of existing machinery, and upgrades to existing machinery.

  • Coordinate and work with outside contractors and service technicians.

  • Participate and recommend maintenance skill enhancement opportunities with Technical Services Team.

  • Review work orders requiring parts, source and provide parts with work orders in a kitting and staging process.

  • Participate and assist in implementing the maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) strategy.

  • Other projects and tasks as requested by the Technical Services Program Manager, Director of Technical Services, and Vice President - Operations.

  • Participate and assist the Technical Training Team in creating the correct maintenance training, procedures, and documentation requirements.

  • Participate and assist in the reliability journey towards maintenance and operational excellence.


What You Have to Offer:


  • Associate Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.

  • Three to five years of experience in a high-speed packaging maintenance environment is required.

  • Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and related systems/software.

  • Strong knowledge of work management processes, labor estimating, resource balancing, etc.

  • Good working knowledge of production facilities and equipment.

  • Strong understanding of OSHA safety practices and procedures.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Strong understanding of skilled crafts such as HVAC, carpentry, electricity and electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, and pipefitting, etc.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and/or schematic diagrams.

  • Demonstrate ability for independent decision-making.

  • Technical writing ability.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Must be flexible and responsive to the needs of the business, including the ability to work on a variety of shifts to accommodate scheduling needs.

  • Must have the ability to overcome obstacles and have organizational skills necessary to complete assignments in a timely manner.

  • Ability to prioritize workload.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive in problem solving and to lead the resolution of equipment problems.
