Job Title: Transformation Lead

Current Need

McKesson is continually transforming its operating model in order to more effectively support execution of its enterprise strategy and priorities. We are seeking a high-performing, execution-focused Transformation Lead to help drive the success of a highly complex, high-impact initiative, working in collaboration with leadership across key corporate functions.

This critical team contributor will serve as a key program executor and integrator of activities necessary to accelerate enterprise operating model transformation initiatives, ensuring seamless cross functional execution. The Transformation Lead will drive execution across multiple workstreams, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure progress against milestones. The role requires an enterprise-minded team player with deep experience in moving workstreams and work products forward in collaboration with multiple stakeholders (sometimes with competing interests), who can work independently or collaboratively as required by the situation, influence without authority, and thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities (List the top five to seven essential responsibilities in priority order.)

1. Transformation Program Execution - Develop and project manage the planning, tracking, and execution of multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and milestone delivery. Support the development and forward progress in execution of governance and exit plans, issue / risk identification and mitigation, and transformation readiness. Coordinate execution roadmapping and support establishment of aligned teams, technologies, and services.

2.Hands-On Delivery & Problem Solving - Demonstrate a "roll-up-your-sleeves" approach to execution no matter the task. Take ownership of deliverables, facilitate workshops, and step into operational gaps as needed. Serve as a critical thought partner to program leadership on effective approaches to efficiently and effectively deliver program deliverables and activities to satisfy multiple senior-level stakeholder groups across the enterprise.

3. Cross-Functional Program Integration and Collaboration - Serve as a key integrator across corporate functions and business units, working closely with transformation initiative leads / team members, functional leaders, and external partners. Identify and escalate risks, resolve cross-functional issues, and ensure alignment across workstreams.

4. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication - Engage with leaders and functional stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment and transparency. Prepare presentation materials and updates for Steering Committees, EOT, Oversight Committee, and other governance forums. Create deliverables, as needed, to move the program forward in an effective and efficient manner. Provide insight to leaders about how to better engage critical stakeholders to move the objectives of the program forward.

5. Transformation Support - Support transformation initiatives, including capability modernization, issue / risk identification & mitigation, value capture / tracking, and operating model design. Collaborate with functional teams to define and execute future-state roadmaps.

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • Education/Training - Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Business Experience -

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in strategy, operations, or large-scale program delivery in a large corporate environment.

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment is essential.

  • Experience in senior executive / EOT / Board-level deliverables and communications development preferred.

  • Demonstrated success in executing complex programs within and across McKesson is valued as highly as tenure.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills -

  • Strong deliverables and project management and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

  • Experience supporting or leading corporate separations, spin-offs, or carve-outs preferred, but not required.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a mindset to drive towards mitigating program risks and resolving issues as they arise.

  • Ability to influence without direct authority and build trust across functions.

  • Comfort operating independently and escalating when needed.

  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills.

Working Conditions: Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) - Traditional office environment with remote working flexibility. Some travel required for executive engagements, workshops, and other program activities as needed.

Physical Requirements (Lifting, standing, etc.) -

  • Large percent of time performing computer based work is required. Occasional travel and extended ;hours during critical program phases.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $122,900 - $204,800
