Job Summary

This role will be responsible for leadership in developing the strategy and delivering on marketing objectives to ensure the success of the Steritech business. The role will own the development and execution of marketing strategy for the business, and lead a team to oversee the tactical support of ongoing marketing initiatives and programs. Programs include integrated campaigns, webinars, trade shows, customer-facing events, brand strategy and programs; coordinating meetings, logistics and serving as a liaison for clients, agencies, associations and sponsorship functions.

In this role, the individual will focus on the objectives of branding and awareness, lead generation, and client retention, building a cohesive messaging and market positioning strategy reflective of an industry leader, while consistently generating new high-quality marketing and sales leads.

This role will be a key point of contact and leadership for the category for internal teams; creative, website and online functions, and cross-functional teams within sales, operations and the larger organization.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage a team of Marketing professionals to lead in achieving department goals.

  • Lead the development of annual Commercial marketing plans, including budget allocation, to ensure successful lead generation and positive measurable impact for the broader business.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationship with Steritech President, effectively recommending and guiding strategic marketing initiatives to drive and support the 5-year growth plan of the business

  • Partner with third parties to conduct industry and market research. Effectively analyze this data to guide a brand position strategy, and partner with Steritech Sr. Leadership to execute.

  • Partner with sales leadership to develop and promote value propositions across owned and paid digital channels, PR, and events, which are tailored to each target vertical

  • Collaborate with the other business teams to develop and implement marketing and branding strategies for new and existing products, internally and externally.

  • Develop and manage all lead generation initiatives and programs and report results. Define and implement a growth roadmap to optimize lead conversion funnels and engagement, reporting ROI on associated marketing activities.

  • Oversee trade show and event strategy leveraging internal resources where available. Evaluate results and present findings and improvements to top management.

  • Update customer email databases, working closely with the in-house data teams

  • Develop and manage advertising programs and evaluate metrics to continuously improve advertising performance.

  • Select, manage, develop relationships and evaluate vendors.

  • Support the sales team by developing consistent, creative and informative collateral materials and programs, leveraging the internal content and creative teams.

  • Lead the strategy, development, execution and optimization of marketing campaigns across multiple platforms with the ultimate goal of increasing sales and profits.

  • Own the development of all creative materials, working with our in-house creative team, agencies, and freelancers - brochures, catalogs, sell-sheets, email flyers, newsletters and promotional materials.

  • Report on all marketing campaign performance against benchmarks, summarise key insights and recommend actions to improve results.

  • Work with the web administrator closely to develop website strategies and e-commerce initiatives (where applicable) that increase leads and ultimately sales.

  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer persona and behavior analysis and trends.

  • Leverage digital marketing best practices within your planning, working with the Digital Marketing team to maximize fulfillment for all marketing campaigns.

  • Remain abreast on emerging technologies and marketing trends to identify opportunities and provide recommendations.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments, including but not limited to Sales, Operations, Purchasing and Finance.

  • Develop and manage vendor partnership programs if applicable with the ultimate goal of increasing vendors' participation and sponsorships.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area, BA or BS; Master's degree a plus.

  • 7+ years of applicable marketing experience (Required)

  • 3-5 years of Marketing management/leadership experience (Preferred)

  • Account-based marketing experience, specifically digital content marketing utilizing HubSpot CRM or similar

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing best practices related to SEO, AIO, social media, and email marketing

  • Strong presentation skills are required.

  • Deep knowledge of lead creation, development, nurturing, and management.

  • Must possess superior verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with a heightened sense of attention to detail are key characteristics of the perfect candidate.

  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow for healthy internal and external relationships are a must.

  • Additionally, strong computer skills whereby the candidate is fluent in cloud base Marketing Software

  • Experience with the Google Platform is a plus.

  • Experience with aspects of branding processes, including marketing training, customer relationship management (CRM), product demonstrations, and superior data analytics capability.

  • Extensive experience in CRM principles, practices, and applications.

  • Experience working with marketing and PR agencies (preferred)

  • Outstanding communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels with a range of internal and external stakeholders including customers, employees, trade unions, investors, analysts, regulators, government bodies and suppliers as required.

  • Able to demonstrate high levels of drive, work ethic and personal accountability with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining sound judgement and a rigorous focus on the details

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, or related field required;Master's Degree preferred

Base Pay Range $120,000 - $150,000/ year

While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
