Job Description




As a Security Officer - Overnight Screener Driver PT in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Security Officer Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will greet team members and visitors, support access control, and conduct screening and inspections that help to deter security-related incidents. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and document activity while delivering a customer-first experience rooted in integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific screening procedures, access control policies, and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct entry screening of persons and permitted items using required tools such as walk-through screening equipment, hand-held screening devices, and/or visual inspections in accordance with posted guidelines.
  • Verify identification, badges, and visitor credentials; issue temporary passes when authorized and maintain required logs and/or electronic records.
  • Respond to alarms, prohibited item findings, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Support shipping and receiving traffic flow at a logistics distribution location by monitoring designated entry points, communicating with operations staff, and reporting security-related concerns through the chain of command.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
