Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Rocklin, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist with access control and badging, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. You will document observations, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver customer service with integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, yards, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or access authorization, and document entries, exits, deliveries and contractor activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
  • Complete accurate reports, logbook entries and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of armed security-related and/or law enforcement and/or military experience.
  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
