Job Description

The Data & Reporting Analyst internship is designed for junior and senior undergraduate students pursuing degrees in Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or Management Information Systems. This fully remote internship provides hands-on experience working with real business data, building dashboards, performing SQL-based analyses, and supporting enterprise reporting initiatives. Interns will gain exposure to modern Microsoft cloud technologies-including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate-while learning directly from experienced data analysts. This is an ideal opportunity for students looking to strengthen their technical capabilities and build a strong foundation for a career in analytics.

The Data & Reporting Analyst internship provides real-world experience across the data analytics workflow. Interns will support data preparation, reporting, dashboard development, and basic analysis, receiving mentorship and skill development throughout the program. The role is structured to help earlycareer talent expand technical ability, business acumen, and confidence working with enterprise data systems.

This is a remote position and open only to candidates who are permanent U.S. residents and legally authorized to work in the United States

What You'll Do

  • Collect, clean, validate, and organize data from multiple sources to support recurring and adhoc reporting needs.

  • Build and update dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and Excel.

  • Use SQL to query, manipulate, and analyze data for insights and reporting accuracy.

  • Run basic analyses to identify trends, measure performance, and highlight improvement opportunities.

  • Assist with preparing summary insights and communicating key findings to team members or leadership.

  • Support documentation of data processes, reporting standards, metadata, and recurring workflows.

  • Learn and apply best practices in data retrieval, transformation, quality assurance, and reporting.

  • Collaborate with senior analysts on projectbased assignments, gradually taking on more independent work as skills expand.

Qualifications

  • Currently a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and reporting.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft cloud technologies, including the Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).

  • Strong foundational skills in analytical thinking, problemsolving, and data interpretation.

  • Exposure to Excel functions, formulas, pivot tables, and basic data modeling concepts.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly summarize findings.

  • Comfort using Microsoft 365 tools such as OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Lists, and Forms.

  • Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and enthusiasm for working with data and technology.
