This is ideally a hybrid role in Redmond, WA (3x days a week). Would consider Remote employees if its the right fit. It will start as a 4 month engagement and could extend up to 18 months.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic individual to provide senior-level business analysis for enterprise-wide People Operations solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your deep understanding of HR processes and systems to support critical initiatives related to compensation, rewards, and performance management. You will serve as a primary functional liaison, bridging the gap between various People Operations teams, engineering, and finance to deliver compliant, scalable, and auditable solutions that underpin the organization's success. Your contributions will be vital in optimizing complex processes and enhancing the overall employee experience.

What You'll Do



  • Lead the discovery, analysis, and documentation of requirements for complex compensation initiatives and performance cycles.
  • Translate intricate policy, regulatory, and business needs into precise functional requirements and robust solution designs.
  • Collaborate closely with People Operations, Engineering, Payroll, Finance, and Data teams to ensure seamless end-to-end alignment and integration.
  • Contribute to solution design reviews, impact assessments, dependency management, and strategic release planning.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategies, including defining test scenarios, managing defect triage, and validating release readiness.
  • Champion data integrity, implement robust controls, and ensure audit readiness across all compensation processes.
  • Proactively identify process inefficiencies and recommend innovative improvements to reduce manual effort and mitigate operational risks.
  • Produce clear, concise documentation, facilitate effective stakeholder communications, and create decision-support artifacts to guide project success.


Required Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting, or a relevant field.
  • 8-10 years of professional experience in business analysis, particularly within Human Resources or People Operations.
  • 5+ years of experience in each of the following:

    • Enterprise HR Systems Functional Expertise: Deep hands-on knowledge of how HR platforms are configured, integrated, and governed at scale.
    • Requirements Gathering and Solution Design: Advanced capability to convert complex business, policy, and regulatory needs into precise functional artifacts for engineering teams.
    • Testing, Release Readiness, and Data Governance: Proven understanding and ownership of UAT strategy, test scenarios, and partnering with privacy, compliance, and HR operations teams.
    • HR System Data Flow Exposure: Experience with enterprise HR systems in the context of data flow exposure.




Preferred Experience



  • Strong business analyst experience supporting HR-focused initiatives, with a solid background in compensation, rewards, promotions, and performance programs.
  • Demonstrated solution management skills, including stakeholder engagement and release readiness support.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Adept at applying accounting and mathematical principles as needed for compensation analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret business trends and project future financial impacts.
  • Proficiency with common computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software; enterprise application experience is a significant plus.
