Salary range is $81k to $170k with a midpoint of $118k. New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market. Sound Transit also offers a competitive benefits package with a wide range of offerings, including:

This is a term limited position with an anticipated end date at 5 years of service. GENERAL PURPOSE: The Senior Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality reports, dashboards, and insights using data from ERP and Project Management Information Systems (PMIS). This role partners closely with capital delivery, finance, IT, and leadership teams to support data-driven decision-making, ensure data accuracy, and improve reporting processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following duties are a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.
- Design, develop, and maintain complex reports and dashboards using ERP and PMIS data
- Serve as a subject matter expert for ERP and PMIS reporting capabilities and data structures
- Translate business, financial, and project reporting requirements into effective analytical solutions
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple systems
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks
- Develop and maintain documentation for reports, metrics, and data definitions
- Collaborate with IT, finance, and project teams on system enhancements and reporting automation
- Train and support end users on reporting tools and dashboards
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation, and standardization
- Support Program & Project Controls by enabling PMIS- and ERP-based data views related to cost, schedule, change management, trends, and forecasts
- Support reporting needs associated with project baselines, current budgets, forecasts, and Estimates at Completion (EAC)
- Partner with Finance and Project Controls to ensure alignment between PMIS data and ERP financial records
- Assist in establishing and maintaining standard PMIS data structures, business rules, and metrics used across capital projects
- Support PMIS and ERP data governance efforts by enforcing consistent data definitions and reporting conventions
- Participate in PMIS implementations, upgrades, and post-deployment stabilization from a reporting and analytics perspective
- Support audit, oversight, and compliance data requests by ensuring PMIS and ERP data is complete, traceable, and well-documented

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Technology or related field. Five years of experience in reporting, analytics, business, systems analysis or business intelligence roles; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Licenses or Certifications:
- Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
- Power BI Certifications
- Business Analysis Certifications (CBAP, Certificates, etc.)
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, Excel)
- Strong understanding of financial, operational, and project-related data
- Strong communication skills with both the ability to translate requirements to technical resources and explain data to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working closely with centralized or enterprise reporting teams in a cross-departmental organization
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience working with PMIS platforms (e.g., Kahua, Unifier, Primavera P6, etc.)
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite)
- Experience integrating data across ERP, PMIS, and data warehouse environments
- Knowledge of project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and earned value metrics
- Prior experience in a senior or lead analyst role
- Certifications in PMIS/ERP systems, BI tools, business analysis, or project management
- Experience in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction, transportation, or public infrastructure sector
- Familiarity with capital delivery processes, project controls, and system-based governance model
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a standard hybrid office environment with a three days per week in-office requirement.
