Do you like working with different project teams in a fast-paced environment? Are you interested in joining an organization focused on making a positive impact? If so, we would like to talk with you about growing with us.
We are seeking a full-time PFAS / EC Market Leader to drive the continued growth of EnSafe's PFAS/EC practice. This role is accountable for expanding PFAS/EC-related revenue and backlog, and for strengthening strategic client relationships across priority markets, with clear ownership of market growth performance.
This is a senior market-facing leadership role focused on commercialization, client expansion, and strategic positioning. The successful candidate will leverage EnSafe's existing PFAS/EC technical depth, collaborate across offices and disciplines, and translate capability into sustained market growth.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The PFAS/EC Market Leader will combine business development leadership, market strategy, and senior technical credibility to expand EnSafe's PFAS/EC footprint.
This is not a traditional seller-doer position, nor a standalone technical authority role. The emphasis is on growing the market, expanding existing accounts, opening new private-sector opportunities, and strengthening EnSafe's competitive position-while partnering closely with internal subject-matter experts.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:
Strategic and Market Growth Leadership
- Lead and execute EnSafe's PFAS/EC growth strategy with clear accountability for revenue, backlog, and client expansion.
- Develop and execute a focused PFAS/EC account and sector strategy to expand existing relationships and penetrate new priority markets.
- Partner with executive and technical leadership to align PFAS/EC growth initiatives with firmwide objectives and resource planning.
- Position EnSafe as a trusted PFAS/EC advisor through strategic engagement with clients, regulators, legal stakeholders, and industry groups.
- Leverage existing and emerging tools, technologies, partnerships, and strategic acquisitions to accelerate commercialization and market differentiation.
Commercialization and Client Development
- Translate EnSafe's PFAS/EC technical capabilities into clear client-facing solutions and value propositions.
- Lead proposal strategy, pricing positioning, and pursuit efforts for complex PFAS/EC opportunities.
- Drive expansion of PFAS/EC services across multiple offices and disciplines.
- Work alongside internal SMEs to scope, shape, and secure PFAS/EC projects - without duplicating or competing with technical experts.
- Support integration and commercialization of new PFAS/EC capabilities as EnSafe's service offerings evolve.
Senior Technical Leadership and Advisory
- Maintain sufficient PFAS/EC subject matter depth to credibly represent EnSafe in client and regulatory settings, support complex technical discussions, and ensure engagements reflect strong regulatory awareness and risk alignment in coordination with internal experts.
Team Development and Collaboration
- Work collaboratively across disciplines and offices to build unified PFAS/EC delivery teams.
- Mentor project managers and technical staff in client engagement strategy and market positioning.
- Reinforce a culture of collaboration, shared accountability, and growth.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Geology/Hydrogeology, or related discipline.
- 12+ years of environmental consulting experience, including demonstrated success growing PFAS or similar complex technical service lines.
- Demonstrated history of personally leading and securing new client engagements, with measurable revenue growth and repeat business success.
- Established professional network capable of generating near-term PFAS/EC or related environmental consulting opportunities.
- Experience selling to and expanding relationships with private-sector and commercial clients.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to lead strategic client discussions and multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel for client development, industry engagement, and leadership coordination.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in a relevant discipline.
- Experience building or scaling PFAS/EC programs within a consulting or advisory firm.
- Experience integrating newly acquired or emerging technical capabilities into market-facing offerings.
- Recognized industry presence through publications, presentations, or leadership roles in professional organizations.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Strong candidates should be able to clearly articulate:
- How they have grown PFAS/EC or comparable technical service lines.
- How they leveraged existing technical teams to win and expand work.
- What measurable success looks like within 12-18 months in terms of revenue growth, backlog development, and market presence.
