Lead Hazard Resident Educator (Full Time)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Resident Educator would perform duties necessary to assist program partners and meet the goals and objectives of conducting Lead Remediation within the City of Woonsocket.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Review the family's eligibility for weatherization, rehabilitation, or other possible housing services while the client's LHRP grant application is processed by CCA Resident Educator. Resident Educator will also create referrals to the LHRP during the annual intake of Low-Income Heating Assistant Program (LIHEAP) (participants at or below 60% AMI) applications.
  • Resident Educator will assist to enroll eligible pre-1978 privately owned housing units occupied by low income (at or below 80% of AMI) and very low income (at or below 50%) families with children under 6 years of age who meet program criteria.
  • Resident Educator will process and review grant applications to the LHRP to ensure that the property and occupants meet all the minimum eligibility criteria for the program as detailed above.
  • Educate applicants on the dangers of LEAD poisoning. All referrals will be reviewed for eligibility for LHRP services and the Resident Educator will work directly with applicants to facilitate successful submission by owners and families of all required documentation to obtain approval.
