Inventory Control Specialist II Farr West, UT Job Summary: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring material availability to support fabrication and machining operations. This role ensures raw materials, WIP, and finished goods are properly received, issued, stored, and transacted within the ERP system to support production schedules, cost control, and on-time delivery. Working closely with Purchasing, Scheduling, Manufacturing, and Quality, the Inventory Control Specialist plays a critical role in preventing material shortages, minimizing excess inventory, and maintaining integrity across the shop floor and warehouse. Essential Functions:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum Requirements: High School Education. Three to five years related experience. Essential Mental Functions: Must be able to give and receive instructions and react favorably in all work situations. Must have good communication skills. Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people. Must handle novel and diverse work problems daily. Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner. You must have long attention span to listen to people, perceive the real problems, and bring issues to a successful conclusion. Must have the ability to act favorably in stressful situations. Essential Physical Functions: Requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires lifting to 60 pounds. Requires exposure to machines, chemicals, and solvents. Requires manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for data input, tool repair and telephone use. Must be able to operate simple power tools such as drills, grinders, etc. Requires vision and hearing correctly within normal range. Requires ability to use ladder to retrieve tools and supplies located on high shelves. Safety Requirements:
Equipment Used (but not limited to): Ability to operate and maneuver a variety of equipment in tight positions (large and small forklifts, manlifts, pallet jack), Computers and Printers. RF Bar Code Scanning Equipment. Availability:
Travel: Must be available and willing to travel as the employer determines whether it is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Working Conditions: Works in tool room setting located in a typical fabrication shop. Frequently called upon working overtime. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma preferred but not required. 1 to 2 years or more experience preferred
