Overview

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminium manufacturing solutions.


Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

Responsible for synchronization of a supply chain for obtaining goods and services for the company. Interfacing with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure quality products, capital and services are delivered to the right place at the right time.

Performs all the following:

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
  • Experience managing suppliers and negotiations independently
  • Ability to operate cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment
  • Develops requests for quotations and proposals, analyzes supplier responses, negotiates and awards contracts, and manages post award supplier activities.
  • Interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Manages inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance.
  • Monitors customer inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning. Incorporates planning decisions from customers and suppliers to reduce material and product variability and arrive at optimal solutions.

Cross-Functional Focal Responsibilities:

  • Lead supplier onboarding processes ensuring compliance and system setup accuracy
  • Own NDA coordination and tracking in partnership with Legal
  • Support HR-related services procurement and contract labor governance
  • Coordinate capital procurement initiatives, ensuring financial and approval alignment
  • Partner with MR&D teams to align sourcing strategies with development timelines

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 6-9 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or related field
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience supporting capital procurement
  • Strong data analysis skills in excel
  • Knowledge or experience in manufacturing and manufacturing processes is advantageous
  • Familiarity with MRP Systems, with preference given to SAP experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range - Mid-Level (Level 3): $73,050 - $112,000
