The Clinical Program Evaluation & Data Science Team within the Clinical Evidence Group conducts systematic reviews and impact evaluations of clinical programs serving millions of members. The purpose of this role is to design and execute rigorous evaluation studies that inform program strategy, Medical Policy, and enterprise decision-making.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct rigorous evaluation studies for planned and deployed clinical programs
  • Collaborate with program designers and implementation leaders to ensure deployment supports robust evaluation
  • Develop study documentation and translate evaluation plans into analytic specifications for data analysts and programmers
  • Lead project teams responsible for executing evaluation analyses and generating study outputs
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and analytic workflows to ensure high-quality project execution
  • Serve as a methodological subject matter expert in observational research and program evaluation
  • Partner with Clinical Leadership and Medical Policy teams to integrate evidence into program design and decision-making
  • Contribute to the development and mentorship of research and analytic staff

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in health services research, health economics, epidemiology, sociology, psychology, population health sciences, or a related field; or a Master's degree with equivalent experience.
  • Proven formal training in observational study design and advanced quantitative methods
  • 3+ years of experience designing and conducting healthcare research evaluating treatments or interventions
  • 3+ years of experience working with claims data, electronic health records, or other observational healthcare data sources
  • 3+ years of experience using statistical software such as SAS, R, or Stata

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven formal training in advanced methodology relevant to the evaluation of treatments or other health care interventions (e.g., causal inference methods, missing data methodology)
  • 3+ years of experience programming with large healthcare databases
  • Experience disseminating research through publications or presentations

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
