What You'll Do:
- Execute existing and develop new strategies for handling
complaints, investigations, and other legal and quasi-legal proceedings. - Work closely with other members of the Litigation Team on
pending, threatened, and actual employment-related litigation. - Handle a range of litigation matters involving legal,
regulatory, and business disputes with a focus on the Fair Credit Reporting Act
(FCRA). - Review current and monitor changing laws and regulations
and provide compliance advice, guidance, and
recommendations.
Who You Are:
- Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active Bar membership in the United States with no record of
discipline - Five (5) to eight (8) years of relevant legal experience
(firm or in-house) - Litigation management experience in both state and federal
court - Working knowledge of or the ability to learn rules and
regulations such as the FCRA, privacy rules and regulations, payment processing rules and regulations, and more - Basic understanding of or the ability to learn about
software development, complex relational databases, cloud computing, and
software-as-a-service (SaaS) - Highest level of professional ethics and personal integrity
and sound judgment - Superlative oral and written communication skills
- Strong and demonstrated ability to work individually and
as a team, including under pressure, with minimal direct supervision and while
managing many competing priorities - Interest in learning and analyzing complex statutes
(including the FCRA), case law, and other primary and secondary sources and
ability to provide clear and sound conclusions and recommendations - Proficiency with
Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word,
and Outlook, and ability to learn and use proprietary customer/matter
management software - Friendly, collegial, and collaborative disposition
- Ability to travel up to 20%
Ideal to Have:
- Risk assessment and management experience a plus
- Familiarity working with software developers a plus
- Software licensing agreement drafting and negotiation
experience a plus

Annual Salary Range: $168,000 - $189,000
