This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned engineering professional to contribute to a dedicated AI Foundations team, focusing on robust cloud infrastructure. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and highly performant backend systems, ensuring seamless integration and responsiveness across diverse applications. Your expertise will directly enhance the efficiency, reliability, and innovation of the company's services and operations.

**In this impactful role, you will:**

* Lead the development of server-side logic, defining and maintaining central databases to ensure high performance and responsiveness for front-end integrations.

* Architect and implement sophisticated cloud platforms utilizing technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes operators, and Crossplane.

* Design and deploy cloud-agnostic observability stacks, leveraging tools like Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, Tempo/Jaeger, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Alertmanager.

* Strengthen platform security through event monitoring, detection with Falco, and adherence to CIS benchmarks.

* Drive DevOps process creation and oversight, championing strong GitOps best practices.

* Collaborate extensively with front-end developers, customers, and product managers to establish objectives and deliver cohesive, user-centric code.

* Provide essential technical leadership and comprehensive documentation to both developers and key stakeholders.

* Rapidly prototype and build high-quality, robust products and systems that meet stringent project standards.

* Actively contribute to re-use initiatives by developing well-documented and thoroughly tested common components.

* Stay at the forefront of emerging technical concepts and market trends, evaluating innovative solutions to enhance company services.

* Enable end-users through internal workshops, requiring exceptional communication skills to translate complex technical concepts.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Applied Statistics.

* A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in software engineering or related technical fields.

* Expert-level proficiency with Kubernetes.

* Extensive experience with major cloud platforms including GCP, AWS, or Azure, and various Kubernetes-based platforms.

* Proven expertise in platform architecture and implementation using Terraform, Kubernetes operators, and Crossplane.

* Demonstrated ability to design and implement cloud-agnostic observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, Tempo/Jaeger, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Alertmanager).

* Strong background in platform security, including event monitoring, detection with Falco, and applying CIS benchmarks.

* Deep understanding and practical experience with DevOps process creation, oversight, and strong GitOps best practices.

* Exceptional communication skills, crucial for end-user enablement and leading technical workshops.

* Proficiency in developing server-side logic, managing database interactions, and implementing user authentication and configuration.

* A collaborative mindset with a track record of integrating user-facing elements with server-side applications and working effectively with cross-functional teams.
