Licensed Practical Nurse - Ambulatory, Cardiology (PRN)

PRN (as needed position) supporting our Cardiology clinics in Manassas, Haymarket and Warrenton - Travel between all locations will be required. Shifts will be scheduled for 8 hours, M-F. No weekend or Holidays!

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care, ongoing education and reinforcement of care plans, and providing general support in an ambulatory setting under the direction and supervision of the patient's physician or licensed medical practitioner or designee in accordance with policy and procedure and competency to promote patient health and wellness.

This position requires providing services to all age populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individuals served.

Education:

High School Diploma required. Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing Program required. Completion of a nursing program as approved by the State Board of Nursing.

Experience:

Minimum of 1year of nursing experience required. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.

Licensure:

Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia prior to onboarding.

Additional Skills/Requirements Required:

AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required. Ability to successfully complete general and department role based specific skills validation and competency testing.

Physical Demand Code: Medium to Heavy Physical Demand: The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use Safe Handling Equipment.
