Job Overview
The incumbent will provide highly technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to the Operations Flight technicians, supervisors and managers, Government engineers, technical experts, and leadership. Conduct professional expert assessments through visual and technical structural asset/roof inspections during walk-through of government facilities to support condition assessments to support capital investments and strategic decision-making. Take photographs for documentation, review and make recommendations on plans and other construction papers, and search for deficiencies. Develop craft specific cost estimates. Input data into appropriate government databases.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Oversee operations, maintenance, inspections, modifications, and repairs of facility structural assets, interiors, and roofs.
- Identify and accurately document current facility and equipment conditions and deficiencies.
- Recommend actions for correcting all deficiencies, including cost estimates as well as recommended improvements.
- Incorporate pre-existing Facility Condition Assessment Data.
- Provide timely and detailed reports for each facility structural assets, interiors, and roofs.
- Use appropriate mobile technology to document components encountered during assessments and provide justification for determination of the physical condition.
- Ensure asset condition data (e.g., facility condition data, Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE) condition data) collected in authorized IT systems (e.g., BUILDER, NexGen, and Tableau) or other approved tools and visible for activity assets.
- Review SOW, contract specifications, Request for Proposals, facility structural assets, interiors, and roofs construction/repair projects to ensure the government receives mission capable, high performing warranty products.
- Perform assessments of government facilities using professional expertise and judgment to determine physical condition and conformance with specifications and building codes.
- Organize and file hard copies and electronic folders and documents.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Mandatory
- High School Diploma
- Five (5) years of practical structural assets, interiors, and roofs operations and maintenance, repair and engineering facility experience related to the specific Activity Management Plan (AMP) responsibilities assigned to perform.
- Must be able to identify in the field common civil, structural components, understand how they function and operate, and have experience planning or performing maintenance, improvements, or repairs.
- Must possess applicable building code and safety knowledge to provide assessment services.
- Experience in performing facility assessments and Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE) condition assessments.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to acquire and maintain required security clearance.
- Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
- Valid state Driver's License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- US. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
Preferred
- Three (3) years of experience working in a military environment and familiarity with Air Force Civil Engineering guidance, rules, and regulations.
- At least one year of experience working with data from geospatial databases.
- Familiarity with current Air Force Real Property and linear segmentation guidance.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work outdoors at elevated heights, and with exposure to varying environmental conditions.
- Ability to tolerate hot, humid, and other adverse weather conditions while performing inspections, assessments, and field activities.
- May be exposed to active work environments involving potential hazards, including but not limited to vehicle traffic, wildlife, confined spaces, electrical systems, fuels, gases, rotating machinery, high-pressure or high temperature systems, and hazardous material storage.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to physically enter, maneuver with, and safely climb out of or exit confined spaces.
- Capable to work effectively while wearing a full-body harness.
- Ability to tolerate extended use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
