Associate Ombuds Ofc of the Ombuds Admin Full Time 87949BR Job Summary The Associate Ombuds provides impartial, informal, independent and confidential conflict resolution services to all UCSF constituencies, including faculty, staff, trainees and students in accordance with International Ombuds Association standards of practice. The position uses exceptional judgment and advanced concepts in conflict resolution to handle ombuds cases that may involve various levels of hierarchy and sensitive issues that have the potential for costly outcomes if not addressed. Services include individual Ombuds consultation and coaching, mediation, group facilitation and customized trainings. Ombuds services help individuals to mitigate conflicts that can otherwise lead to a grievance, disciplinary action and/or disruption in the workplace. Ombuds assist visitors assess options in the context of an academic healthcare, research, and teaching institution and develop strategies to engage in the conflict productively. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $110,400 - $235,400 (Annual Rate).
