About the Opportunity: The Cost Estimator plays a critical role in driving Pursuit Aerospace's competitive advantage by delivering accurate, data-driven cost estimates for complex aerospace components. This position serves as a key bridge between engineering, operations, supply chain, and sales-translating technical requirements into detailed labor, material, and outside processing cost models that support timely, competitive, and profitable customer quotations. Working in a precision machining environment that supports high-temperature alloys and close-tolerance aerospace components, the Cost Estimator evaluates RFQs, assesses manufacturing methods, analyzes technical drawings and specifications, and identifies cost-effective production strategies. This role requires strong technical acumen in process engineering, a deep understanding of aerospace manufacturing practices, and the ability to anticipate production risks and opportunities. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with operational insight, ensuring quotes are both achievable and aligned with shop floor capabilities. In addition to estimating, this individual contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, evaluates planning and engineering changes for cost impact, and supports Lean and Kaizen efforts to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. This is a highly collaborative, on-site role based in South Windsor, CT, directly supporting operational excellence and long-term customer partnerships in a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment. Location: South Windsor, CT - This position is 100% on site, Monday through Friday. Office staff generally work a 7:30am-4:30pm shift to meet needs of the shop floor. Responsibilities:
