As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Weekdays PT in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document activity, and provide customer service and clear communication to staff and visitors. This post requires a Texas Level III Armed Certification. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders within a government location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, training, and post instructions; use sound judgment and de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate notifications to site representatives and/or public emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help reduce risk and identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Complete thorough incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation; communicate key information during shift briefings and/or when relieving other officers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
